So for example, if I offset this, let’s say the stock moved up a dollar, how much would I make? I could set up different price slices at different points and see what my profit and loss would be at those levels. That’s the whole point behind these price slices. Now I could go ahead and move my price slice and you can see my profit and loss actually changes. Then you also have profit and loss for the day. Then you have your delta, gamma, theta and vega for stock. It is offset by zero, meaning no profit or loss or movement by one point. So here we have basically this slice connected to here. If I unlock it, it goes to the live price. This is where you can open up this level or this little bar. What does it do? It really links up to this price slices area. If I move the price slice, it doesn’t really do much but it does actually affect something. You can move my mouse up or down and that’s where you can see your profit or your loss. You have one price slice typically already set up as a default. So right click analyze the trade and it’ll put it in right here into the analyze tab. Now to get this in the analyze tab, I’ll right click and go to analyze trade. So I’ll go ahead and right click buy and you can see this puts up a sample order here. You have to be in this trade tab window first and then put in the trade either the stock itself or some kind of option. Well you do that by going to the trade tab. It’s kind of like a secondary sub tab and you have to put in trades in here. So first, you need to get into the analyze tab and where it’s found is right under risk profile picture. You’ll probably start out your panel first off uh something like this.

I can pull it up here and I can buy some shares of stock here. We’re going to go ahead first and take a look at a standard stock position. These price slices can be very helpful and beneficial. Like let’s say you put on a calendar spread, butterfly spread, see what your profit or loss would be at a certain price point or a certain standard deviation move or a percentage move You can do this when it’s just the stock or if you’re just dealing with options. One of the things regarding price slices is that they’re really fantastic for seeing where your position lies and how much money you would make or lose at a certain point where the stock price is.
